Independent Learning is work that is set to be completed in addition to the timetabled curriculum. It contains an element of independent study, in that it is not usually directly supervised by a teacher. Independent Learning makes a valuable contribution to children’s learning.

Independent Learning will continue to be set on Class charts and recorded in student planners. Independent Learning frequency will be set in line with the number of lessons students have over their timetable.
