We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography and a Teacher of History. Both posts make up a total of approx. 1.6, one full time and one part-time or both possible at part time. The flexibility will arise from applicants’ ability to teach at least ks3 of the ‘other’ subject. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed professionals. The successful candidates will be expected to teach Geography and/or History at key stage 3 and key stage 4, sharing groups where appropriate with another member of staff if on part-time.

Tottington High School is a popular, forward looking 11-16 comprehensive school with a roll of just over 900 students and total of 80+ staff. It is located on the north side of Bury in the village of Tottington, with easy access to motorways. The last Ofsted inspection was in November 2015 and we were graded as ‘Good’. Report available online.

Applicants are asked to write a letter of application to the Headteacher of no more than 2 sides of A4, (minimum text size 11 Arial), to accompany the application form, outlining your experience relevant to the post and stating why you feel you would be suitable for the post.
