Woodbury House win Non-uniform Day

Woodbury House win Non-uniform Day

House News

Dear Parent/Guardian

The House Community Award Competition is an on-going award which recognises and rewards students who show exceptional good manners and an awareness of our school community through their use of our House litter bins

In recognition of their achievement in winning this term’s Community Award all students in WOODBURY House in Years 7-10 ONLY are invited to attend school in non-uniform on Friday 25th May.

ALL YEAR 11 STUDENTS MUST CONTINUE TO WEAR FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM AS NORMAL

As for all of our non-uniform days make-up and jewellery rules will be ‘relaxed’ but we insist on ‘sensible’ amounts of both and would encourage students to be ‘sensibly dressed’ to meet the demands of the day. Tops must not reveal midriffs or shoulders and should not be ‘low-cut’. Hair rules apply at all times. Any student we feel is not following these guidelines will be kept in isolation during the day. Under the circumstances we would appreciate your support in reinforcing this point to your child.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all students who have taken part in any of the many and diverse range of House events this year and encourage everyone to participate in the events planned for the next academic year starting in September.

Yours sincerely

I Tandy
House Co-ordinator

Liv’s Trust

Fundraising

Dear reader,

As we near the anniversary of the MEN tragedy, our staff, students, governors and parents remember those who lost their lives in the MEN tragedy on 22nd May 2017, and we especially remember Olivia Campbell-Hardy who was a student here at our school. She is sorely missed by our community and especially to those who were closest to her.

We would like to pass on all our sympathies at this difficult time to all the friends and families of loved ones lost in the tragedy.

As a school community we are obviously marking the anniversary and are doing so privately.

We would ask that parents and members of the public do not bring flowers to the school but instead we would ask that you consider making a donation to ‘Liv’s Trust’. This has been set up by Olivia’s father, family and friends and is a registered charity hoping to give young people the opportunity to pursue interests in music and the arts, something very close to Olivia’s heart.

Further information about Liv’s Trust and details of how to donate is on the Liv’s Trust Just Giving page, which you can access by clicking the link below:
