Welcome From The Headteacher

I hope this brief glimpse of our school via our website gives you an insight into the life of Tottington High School, our ethos and our vision for all our students. I know that we have so much to be proud of: a consistent record of achievement over a number of years; a varied programme of enrichment and enhancement opportunities for students; excellent links with our community, and a dedicated and talented team of staff who work diligently for the benefit of every student. Ofsted (November 2015) stated that our school “continues to be Good” and that…”an air of purposeful learning permeates the school. Pupils want to learn and to do well; they have strong aspirations and ambitions……Good relations between staff and pupils enhance this welcoming, lively and developing school community…….The pupils leave the school as well-rounded individuals with ambition and self-confidence.” (Full report on school and Ofsted websites)

Our commitment to high quality teaching and learning experiences provides the foundation for school and individual success. We recognise the potential of all our students and provide opportunities that challenge their abilities. We also have a large team of support staff who work selflessly to support some of our students who may find some of the demands of academic settings more of a challenge. We offer a full 360 degree level of education, care and support for all our young people. We endeavour to provide a high level of support, guidance and care to enable your child to achieve their potential. We truly are a school where Every Child Matters.

We are very proud of our school and strive daily to give our children the best possible chances of succeeding academically and also ensuring they are ready for their next step.
