Our Year 8 girls 7-aside football team were runners up in the Bury Schools Comp last week. In netball, our Key Stage 3 girls teams have been traning really hard, and all their hard work paid off as both year 7 teams played against Woodhey last Monday and won their first match!

In netball, our Key Stage 3 girls teams have been working really hard with their training and have been making great progress at their Wednesday after-school practice. And all this practice really paid off for some of them as both year 7 teams played against Woodhey last Monday and won their first match! Hopefully our year 8 and year 9 teams will perform just as well – more results to follow! ...

On Friday 7th February, eight of our year 9 students took part in a Hate Crime Ambassador training programme at Bury’s New Kershaw Centre, along with students from several other Bury schools. Each team produced some good work around the strands of hate crime (disability, race, religion, transgender identity, sexual orientation) – and also covered stereotyping, prejudice and equality.
