Year 11 Parents Consultation Evening
Thursday 24th January 2019
4.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. – School Hall

I am delighted to invite you into school to discuss your child’s progress with his/her teachers on Thursday 24th January between 4.30p.m. – 7.00 p.m. I shall also be available all evening to discuss any concerns you may have.
There will be a careers advisor, Kevin Welch from Realistic Choices, present, should you wish to make an appointment, please ask your child to see Dr. Hall, Assistant Headteacher, you may also be able to see the advisor on the evening without an appointment. Students are encouraged to attend the evening if accompanied by parent/guardian

As a school we know that, due to the importance of Key Stage 4 qualifications, you will be keen to see all of your child’s teachers. Of course, staff would also like to see the parents/carers of all the students they teach and hopefully this will be possible. However, we trust parents will understand that where staff have a number of groups this may prove difficult, due to time constraints. If seeing a particular teacher is a priority for you, and your child is unable to make an appointment, alternative arrangements can be made. Please contact the school should this be the case.

Please note the onus is on your child to arrange appointments with relevant members of staff using the attached appointment sheet. In addition, staff will also be approaching students to ensure appointments are made.

Please complete the tear-off acknowledgement slip on the attached appointment sheet and return it via your child as soon as possible to his/her Form Tutor. If you are unable to attend, please indicate on the slip and I will contact you prior to the evening to arrange a meeting at a convenient time. If you wish to confirm your attendance by email the address to send it to is:
lpollitt@tottingtonhighsch.co.uk

It would be greatly appreciated if you could encourage your child to arrange appointments prior to the evening. It is also important that you bring the attached sheet with you as a guide to your designated appointments.

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you on the evening.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Pollitt
