Year 11 Students – it has been a long time since we last saw you in March, and now here we are, mere weeks away from Summer 2020 Results Day (Thursday 20th August)

As you are aware, changes are being made daily, with information being highlighted to us on both TV and Social Media across the UK.  In fact, since we sent out our Results Day letter to you all via post and email last Friday, we now have further information to share with you.

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has addressed all 2020 school leavers across England. A video recording of his address is below:

Ofqual have released this simple poster explaining the process for awarding GCSE’s this summer.

Following on from your Results Day Letter, we have received some wonderful news!  Representatives from both Holy Cross College and Bury College will be in attendance on Results Day to answer any questions/queries you may have.  It may be that you just need some reassurance, and along with college representatives, staff will also be here for you to speak to.

With all that has gone on over the last few months, this is why it is so important that you attend in person on Results Day, if you can, as it isn’t “only” about collecting your results, it is also about being able to see and speak to fellow pupils, staff etc. (adhering to social distancing procedures) and being able to “share” and celebrate this experience with others.

I would just like to end this note by wishing you all a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday 20th August 2020.
