Our Girls are Bury Football Champions!

Our Girls are Bury Football Champions!

Our Year 10 and Year 11 girls football team had a clean sheet against other Bury schools with some great saves by Georgia Hodson and Zoe Parker, and solid defending by Caitlin Brown, Ruby Pilkington, Ellie Stokes and Liana Mae Cass. They beat Castlebrook 5-0, St Gabriel’s 1-0 with some class goals from Beth Schofield and Chloe Chapman, and had 0-0 draws with Woodhey and Bury Church. 1st place was awarded to Tottington over Bury Church due to goal difference (1 goal in it!)
Fantastic performance by Mrs Carter’s dream team!

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Success for Year 10

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Success for Year 10

This year eighteen of our Year 10 students have taken part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme and challenged themselves, pushing the boundaries of sport, skill, voluntary work, countryside expeditions with camping and map navigation over a number of days to achieve the required standard to pass their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Next year, they will all take on further challenges towards the Silver Award.

Well done and congratulations to everyone involved!

Mr J Cudworth. (Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator)
