This annual event, organised by FROTHS (Friends of Tottington High School) was held last weekend, and although the weather was not too kind (driving rain and high winds) we had a good “turn out”.

As a fundraising arm of the school, we raised approximately £1500, and I hope made some new friends along the way.

We had a variety of stalls – new and old – a raffle, a tombola and charity contributors. Mother Christmas and her elves were in residence this year, in the guise of Miss S Williams, our Head of Drama and students Aimee and Hollie Jennings.

Our student council were also supporting the event and they each provided a vital link, helping to make the day run smoothly. Kelsey Robinson, Emma Schofield, and Megan Hodkinson, did sterling work selling raffle tickets; whilst Bethany Wood, Harrison King, Jessica Kelley and Adam Lewis ensured that all our stallholders were fed and watered!

Mr Cudworth and Mr Stevens ensured that music was of the highest standard and enticed our young students to sing some festive carols; Miss Williams arranged some dance routines, which was certainly entertaining. Some of the pictures taken can be viewed in the photo gallery below.

I would like to take the opportunity of thanking everyone for the support offered to our hard working FROTHS members, without whose commitment these events would not take place; and a very special thank you to the members of staff who gave their time to help organise the event.

Mrs J Kinsey (Secretary FROTHS)
