The time of year has come when we have to say goodbye to the Year 11 members of our Echo team who are now fully immersed in their GCSE exam preparation, and sadly cannot spend as much time with our newsletter team.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Milly Upton, Sam Armstead, Kerry Edwards and Sophie Whittham for their dedication to the team and the initial development of the student newsletter. They helped to get us off the ground and have each been involved in collating and reporting a variety of news items for us. We wish them luck in their exams and for the future!
So now we turn to you, our student population, and ask: would you be interested in joining the Echo newsletter team?
We are a small but hard working team who meet once a week in L2 and each of us takes on a small reporting job each week. Echo is still developing so we are looking for someone who is creative, innovative and willing to put some hard work in. Being involved in the student newsletter is a fantastic opportunity for a number of reasons. You will get to develop your skills in writing, editing the site, working as a team, working independently and what’s more, it will look great on a college application.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, please see Mrs McCool in L2 for more information.
We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
