On Tuesday 8th December, Miss Postle and Mr Hornby took a group of year 10 and 11 students who are currently doing GCSE textiles to the clothes show in Birmingham.
As part of our course, it is important that we as a group are able to see firsthand the latest designs and fashion trends that are currently being exhibited, therefore enabling us to relate to the materials, patterns and trends that the public see in the high street and fashion collections.
The event is a UK wide fashion event that features many young and established fashion designers, as well as those who are finding their feet within the world of fashion. We saw many exhibitors at the show including in fashion theater the work of River Island and designers at Debenhams that featured the amazing John Rocha.

‘I really enjoyed the clothes show and it was both an educational and exciting trip. The fashion show was a blast and it inspired me to create something bolder and unique for my final exam piece. I loved the experience and I would surely go again’ Anam Javed
